Don't forget to get outside for the next month and practice your instrument and marching! - Next practice July 7th 5:30-8:30 PM
NOTICE REGARDING FORMS & BAND FEES: Anyone that we have a contact email for should have received an email invite to set up an account on Boooster Binder. That email will include an attachment of all initial forms needed for marching band. Commitment form is due June 12. You can save and then upload all forms to your Booster Binder profile. You will not receive an invoice for band fees until after our August Booster meeting, when all numbers are verified/finalized. If you have not already completed the Google form for a new student to LHS band or if you need to update prior contact info, the link for the form can be found here: https://forms.gle/F8M6MFSuVSjpJkKT6

No matter your time availability
or talent we can use our help!
If you are available during the day, consider helping at band camp or in the uniform room.
We need people who are good with organization, some that can do minor sewing, some that can use a tape measure, people to put up tents or supply water.
Helping out after football games when the uniforms need to be re-racked is perfect for those night owl people. Come for the game or just show up towards the end of the game and stay until all the uniforms are put away for the next event.
Roadies help load equipment and move props. We can always use tow drivers to help spread out the work.
Chaperones are needed for games and competitions. They ride the bus and help with general student needs.
We also need folks to help with fundraisers and merchandise.
Be sure to check out the handbook under Guides & Forms for more details or ask any current parent volunteer what they do to help!
FCPS Training for Volunteers
FCPS has not yet released the volunteer training for the 26-27 school year.
Once that has been released, we will update links here and notify families.
All volunteers are required to complete FCPS volunteer training, which can be found by clicking the link below. A volunteer handbook is available HERE. Las instrucciones de entrenamiento en español están disponibles AQUÍ.
You will need to first register using the link below. Then you will have access to the "course" which you will need to register for. This doesn't always appear immediately. You may wish to register one night and then check the next day to see if you have access to the course. There is no cost. The course is an approximately 20 minute video. You will then answer the questions at the end and the information will be automatically sent to FCPS. You will receive a confirmation of completed course by email, not necessarily immediately. Please send that confirmation to Jason Milke at jasonmilke@linganoreband.org so that he can track those that have completed the training. Thank you!
Overnight trip chaperones are required to provide additional information, including fingerprinting. You must complete the same training as above, but additionally submit this Overnight Chaperone Form which you will return to the band director. You will then be contacted by FCPS Human Resources to schedule fingerprinting. Do not wait until the last minute to do this. If you are selected as an overnight chaperone, please submit the form as soon as possible.
