NOTICE REGARDING FORMS & BAND FEES: Anyone that we have a contact email for should have received an email invite to set up an account on Boooster Binder. That email will include an attachment of all initial forms needed for marching band. Commitment form is due June 12. You can save and then upload all forms to your Booster Binder profile. You will not receive an invoice for band fees until after our August Booster meeting, when all numbers are verified/finalized. Statements, Budget, Boosters & More
Student Statements
Our treasurer generally sends out students statements once a month from August to May. Not all credits for events may appear for several reasons, but your statement email should indicate any unusual circumstances. For questions about your student statements, balances due, or fundraising income, please contact our treasurer, Melonie, at the following email: meloniedeblock@linganoreband.org.
To make a payment on your statement, you can either submit a check payable to the LHS Band Boosters or cash (in an envelope labeled with your student name) to the black box in the band room. Alternatively, you can make an online payment through our Cheddar Up platform. Please note that e-checks are the lowest fee option.
Treasurer Reports
At each regular monthly board meeting our treasurer presents a report of all the income and expenses for the prior month. You will need to request viewer access for these documents, but copies are available at all regular booster meetings.

Budget
The tentative 2026-2027 Budget can be found by our current band families HERE. This budget will be finalized in August once we have a clear picture on the number of students participating this season.
We pride ourselves on transparency and encourage all parents to attend our meetings, read our emails, newsletters, and other communication. We plan ahead for major purchases (such as in 2020/2021 when the band needed a trailer, the Polaris, and new uniforms, all of which totaled an excess of $50,000.00). The funds we maintain in our savings account are there for anticipated future needs and to avoid the need for major last-minute fundraising.
We are always adjusting in an effort to keep our operating fees as low as possible, while ensuring success in the future.
We also have many parents that contribute extra out of pocket donations to help the program. As that will not necessarily always be there, our reserves help us to be able to offset in a year where donations are lacking.
Please remember that the board are parents too and we pay the same fees as everyone else. No one wants to charge more than we need to, but keeping in mind the potential for future needs or less successful fundraising events.

Use this link to submit reimbursement requests or receipts for recording. For purchases using the band account please put the name of the store/company where it says "First Name" and your last name and last four numbers of the band debit card in the "Last Name" slot.

If you have questions about finances or just want to keep up to date on the goings on with the band or to meet other parents, we encourage you to attend our monthly board meetings. Beginning in August, 2026, approved minutes will be available in your Booster Binder account.

The LHS Band Boosters
Director of Bands: Matthew Hodge
The LHS Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides volunteer and financial support to the LHS marching band, color guard, concert band, indoor guard, jazz band, and symphonic band programs. We fund bus transportation, band vehicles, uniforms, insurance, instructor fees, music rights, and many other items. There is no charge for membership includes all LHS Band Instrumental and Guard students, their parents/guardians, the band director and band staff, alumni of the band program and parents of alumni.
Booster meetings are generally held on the second Tuesday of each month, from August through May at 7 PM in the LHS Media Center. Always check the band calendar or emails for changes to this schedule.
Our Booster organization is run entirely by volunteers. All band parenst are expected to volunteer for our hosted MMBA and KIDA shows and we would each family to volunteer at leats two other times per season. Some roles are very limited, such as holding the door open prior to concerts.
